The surprise release of Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik's new collaboration I Don't Want To Live Forever (from the 50 Shades Darker soundtrack) was basically the most exciting thing that had happened ever in our lives. Until Honey G dropped her debut single on The X Factor final on Saturday, that is.
Lol.
It went to number one just ONE HOUR after he tweeted it, his first number one single since Pillowtalk back in February. Which is more than we can say for Honey G's, poor hun.
And according to our insider, all this excitement was down to Zayn's girlfriend, Gigi Hadid.

"She knew Taylor was being lined up to do a 50 Shades song, and she begged Taylor to include Zayn on the track," says our source. "Taylor loves Gigi, she’s one of her closest friends and she’d do anything for her. Taylor could have done this with anyone – it was a sure-fire hit – but she did it with Zayn for Gigi."

Zayn and Taylor first met back in 2012, when she was dating his One Direction bandmate Harry Styles, but they only reconnected when Taylor went to Zayn's LA house in August. The following month, Gigi and Zayn were spotted visiting Taylor at her New York home.
Gigi also put a word in with Lena Dunham, whose boyfriend Jack Antoff, wrote the song. At a recent Reebok fitness event, Lena revealed that she and Gigi had spent "hours on the phone" during one chat.
Our source added: "Gigi would do anything for Zayn, including putting in a word with her famous friends. She thinks he’s the most talented musician on the planet."
N'awwwww
