Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts splits from boyfriend – but keeps it secret until after Cheryl Cole’s wedding

Just two weeks after her bandmate Cheryl Cole tied the knot to brand new husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, it's emerged that Nicola Roberts has split up with her boyfriend of six years, Charlie Fennell.

Nicola and Charlie reportedly broke up at the end of last year but have kept it out of the press to give them both time to move on.

A source told* the Mirror* that the pair decided they had grown apart and that their relationship had come to an end.

"Nicola is really enjoying being single again," the insider continued.

"She's been back out partying loads and is really enjoying making new friends and being out at showbiz parties. She's definitely still single, and she's not looking to settle down quite so much so soon."

Nicola's love-life woes come just after Cheryl's aforementioned whirlwind nuptials and Nadine Coyle giving birth to baby daughter Anaiya in February – plus their other bandmate Kimberley Walsh is heavily pregnant with her and partner Justin Scott's first child, so it must be tough for her at the moment.

The 28-year-old was spotted earlier this week at Cheryl's second wedding reception in London, wearing a gorgeous black and white floor-length gown.
