Glee star Mark Salling, best known for playing the role of Noah "Puck" Puckerman on the hit show, has been sentenced to at least four years in prison over a crime against minors. Back in December 2015, Mark was arrested on charges of possessing thousands of inappropriate photos featuring people under the age of 18. That is illegal and punishable by jail time. Now, almost two years after being charged, Mark has been convicted of the crime.
Us Weekly obtained the agreement that Mark must follow because of his actions. He will serve four to seven years behind bars – most likely depending on his behavior while he's in there. He must register as a sex offender, he can't speak to anyone under the age of 18 unless a parent or a guardian is around. After he serves his jail time, he must always be at least 100 feet away from schoolyards, parks, public swimming pools, playgrounds, and arcades. He also under supervision for 20 years after he is released from prison.
That's not all. Mark also has to give more than $50,000 for each victim who requests it. Not only that but he must enter a treatment program upon his release. Mark has yet to make a statement about his punishments and there's no word just yet on when he will actually begin his sentence. Regardless, he's got a long road ahead of him which is very well deserved. Police uncovered more than 50,000 photos and videos that were deemed illegal on his laptop and flash drive at the beginning of the investigation.
His former Glee co-stars have kept pretty much tight-lipped about the whole thing over the past couple of years. However, his ex-girlfriend, Naya Rivera, wasn't afraid to speak up about it in her personal memoir, Sorry Not Sorry. She said she wasn't "totally shocked" by the allegations and explained, "But still — WTF? Then I had no doubt that God really did have my back along the way."
