Can you believe it's been four months since Matt Terry won The X Factor? Just before Christmas it was Honey G mania, with everyone from 50 Cent to Snoop Dogg backing the contro contestant.

What's she up to now? Who knows. But we WOULD know if Simon Cowell had decided to create the new X Factor spin-off earlier.

Oh yes, people. Anyone who just can't get enough of The X Factor - from the moment it starts with some of the most LOL auditions (we're looking at you Bratvio), to the minute it ends with all the confetti and crying and joy - will be pleased to know that soon enough there will be even more to watch.

Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne are set to come back and settle into their seats later this year, but there has also been reports that Simon is keen to replace the hole that has been left by the (axed) Xtra Factor (sob).

The idea is apparently to follow around the rejected acts throughout the series to work alongside the original main event, watching those given the chop as they compete against each other to be crowned 'biggest improver' by the end.

A source told The Sun: "It has always been the bad auditions that get everyone talking on X Factor each year.

"And another thing people love to watch on TV is people undergoing huge transformations — like on Davina McCall's show This Time Next Year.

"Now ITV will combine these two things as they launch a new show which sees awful singers transform into superstar performers — or that's what they're hoping.

"It's sure to be a great laugh but also heart-warming to see some amazing transformations."

TBF, we'd definitely be watching it. Seeing what really goes on behind the scenes and giving acts like Beck Martin more screen time?

Guaranteed TV gold.
