It’s only been a few weeks, but already it feels like the final series of the Great British Bake Off (as we know it) finished about 293881 years ago.
This year is just so bloody full of dramz – we can’t keep up.
But a rare happy moment in a 2016 full of absolute horrors was the Bake Off final, when a well deserving Candice Brown was crowned the winner.
It was bittersweet cos we knew it was moving to Channel 4 next year, but still.
Candice stole the hearts of the nation and the heat office with her INCRED baking and lipstick skills, and everyone seemed to get super excited by the news she and her boyfriend might be engaged.
She addressed these rumours on Loose Women earlier today, saying a big fat “nooo” when questioned about any upcoming nuptials.
"I'm wearing a different ring today, on a different finger.
"I know [I panicked everyone with the ring] but I just like wearing jewellery. Poor boy – he's like, 'Oh god, the pressure', and I'm like, 'Don't you dare pressure-ask me to marry you!'"
V v v v v fair.
She also opened up about her decision to leave her PE teaching job, explaining: “It's been a whirlwind. I'm not great with making big decisions. I still feel myself a teacher. My boss Ellie and the head teacher said, "look Candice you need to take this opportunity". I'd said "no, I can go to Christmas", and I was going in and they were saying "you look quite tired.”
Candice also revealed that she could possibly have a book in the pipeline (which would be so so so great).
“I think that would be the ultimate memoir. That’s my ideas and they’re my recipes on paper.”
YERRSS, CANDICE <3.
