A group of nuns are at war with Katy Perry over a former convent in Los Angeles!

We didn’t think we’d ever write a story like this. Katy Perry is warring with a group of Los Angeles nuns. Now if we were Katy, we’d back down. Remember, the nuns have got god on their side. We hope she’s saying her prayers.

This argument is claimed to have started after Katy found a property, a former convent, in the Los Angeles hills. According to the LA Times, the* Roar* star struck a deal with local Archbishop Jose Gomez and he promised the property to her.

But, it turns out that five nuns from the convent are claiming they’ve sorted their own sale – to businessman Dana Hollister who’s planning to turn it into a hotel.

Now the nuns and the archbishop are rowing over who owns the rights to the property.

Katy is reported to have tried to win the angry nuns over, by singing a rendition of Oh Happy Day and showing them her religious tattoo on her wrist. But, according to Sister Rita Callanan, they won’t budge.

“Our days have not been happy since then, I can assure you,” Sister Rita told* TODAY*.

Sister Rita also told explained how they’d seen Katy’s half time Super Bowl performance and were less than impressed. She added: “I thought, is that a way to make money? Maybe I could fly around. I could be the flying nun.”

It’s claimed that Katy really wants the property but we think she’s got a battle on her hands.
