A bunch of nerds on the internet are threatening to release compromising photos of* Harry Potter* actress Emma Watson, even going so far as to set up a countdown website building up to the release of the photos. This is why people flush your heads down toilets, nerds. This is why everyone says you smell of Wotsits and your own sweat.
The actress has become the latest victim of [sigh so hard the universe itself inhales] ‘The Fappening’, a massive hacking event at the start of the month that saw a slew of actresses and famous types – including Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton and Victoria Justice – have their private photos accessed and shared online.
And now Round Two is apparently in full swing, with Kim Kardashian West, Vanessa Hudgens and Gabrielle Union reportedly the victim of another iCloud hack. But anonymous hackers are threatening more leaks – with Emma Watson thought to be a target.
A website has been set up that has given a four-day countdown and the words, ‘Never forget, the biggest to come thus far’.
Emma was one of the most vocal critics of the first round of hacking, tweeting her support for friend Jennifer Lawrence, saying: “Even worse than seeing women's privacy violated on social media is reading the accompanying comments that show such a lack of empathy.”
