They’ve faced rumours of marriage troubles ever since their 2018 wedding, but Justin and Hailey Bieber have defied the haters and announced they are expecting their first child. Now, our source says Baby Bieber signifies a fresh start for the couple, who are also set to quit Hollywood for a quieter life.
“Hailey and Justin know they have a lot of work ahead of them, but they’re really excited,” an insider tells heat. “This is a new chapter and they see it as a chance to put all their struggles behind them. Their focus is on preparing to become parents, which they’re both over the moon about.”
In recent months, there were rumours that Hailey, 27, and Justin, 30, were facing serious marital difficulties. Back in February, Hailey’s dad Stephen Baldwin asked fans to send “a little prayer”, while Justin recently posting tearful pictures on social media led to more speculation. However, two weeks ago, the pair shut down the rumours with a video of not only them renewing their vows, but with Hailey showing off a sizeable baby bump – a spokesperson has since confirmed she’s more than six months pregnant.
“It’s no secret they’ve had their issues, but they are committed to entering a more mature phase of their marriage,” we’re told. “Getting regular couples’ therapy through their church is a non-negotiable now, because they both want to stay strong for their baby. Now that he has this new focus of fatherhood, the hope is that Justin will be able to handle the hard times a whole lot better.”
Alongside “parenting classes and reading books”, we’re told the couple are also considering a move away from LA.
Our source says, “The main thing they want is a tranquil environment where they can thrive as a family, so they’re talking very seriously about moving away from the craziness of LA. They both love Hawaii and Justin’s mom is there, so that’s top of their list, but the Hudson Valley in New York, where Hailey grew up is also an option.”
And with this new chapter, we’re told they’re making a concerted effort to shut out any negativity. The source says, “They both get very down when they see all the hurtful comments about their relationship online, so they have agreed to a social media detox. They’ll still engage here and there for the sake of their brand, but for the most part, they’ll let social media managers handle things.”
The insider adds, “It’s a work in progress, but they’re committed to building the strongest family unit. This news has given them a fresh start.”
