Have half of Little Mix split up with their boyfriends so they can be free and single on tour?

Empty industrial-sized cartons of Ben & Jerry's lie discarded in an overflowing trash can. A strange, high-pitched keening fills the air.

Because half of Little Mix have just dumped their boyfriends and now they're going on tour.

That's right, this week both Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall became single again after splitting up from their respective Diversity boyfriends.

Jesy had been with Jordan Banjo - Ashley Banjo's little brother - for two years, while Jade had been dating Sam Craske for around the same time.

There was even speculation in November last year that Sam had proposed to Jade after she was spotted wearing a huge diamond ring on her left hand.

But a source told the Mirror both of the girl band members broke things off in the last couple of weeks.

"It happened very recently for both couples," the insider explained.

"While it's strange timing and quite a coincidence that both girls were dating boys in the same dance troupe, it seems to have stemmed from the amount of time they are able to spend together, because of their conflicting schedules.

"The girls are about to go on a huge US tour, which will see them spend the entire rest of the summer apart," the source continued.

That's tough for any relationship, but especially when the girls are still so young."

All seemed good in the Little Mix camp earlier this month when the girls teamed up with Diversity on stage at Britain's Got Talent.

Let's hope Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards are keeping their PDAs to a bare minimum around their newly single colleagues now…
