Happy anniversary, Tom Daley! Today marks a WHOLE YEAR since the Olympic champ came out

Remember when Tom Daley simultaneously broke a million female hearts whilst fixing those of loads of lads by coming out as gay?

Well, he’s celebrating a year to the day of becoming a publicly open lover of the menz.

The diver, 20, went all digital on our arse and marked the occasion with a tweet filled with colourful rainbows and everything, which is really rather lovely.

If anyone had hopes of dating the dashing Olympian they were quickly forced to give up as it emerged he was seeing 40-year-old screenwriter Dustin Lance Black.

The diver originally opened up about his sexuality in a YouTube video, which he posted in December 2013 but said he didn’t want to label himself as “bisexual” or “gay” at the time.

He clarified his feelings later in the year, telling E! News: “I am a gay man now. I came out on YouTube as I wanted to say what I wanted to say without anyone twisting it.

“I told my family before I told the world. I was terrified. I did not know what the reaction was going to be. I did it on YouTube because people were constantly digging and asking questions.”

Aww, well at least he’s happy now.
