The Beckham feud is still rumbling on, with no signs of reconciliation between David and Victoria and their eldest son Brooklyn. And now a source tells heat that Victoria is worried about the impact the drama may be having on daughter Harper.

Once a tight-knit family, the bond between Harper and her older brother Brooklyn was special. Harper also had a close relationship with Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz, with the billionaire heiress once calling her a ‘dream little sister’. Last week, Brooklyn posted a message to Harper on her 14th birthday to his Instagram Story – his first public acknowledgement of any his family in months. Alongside a photo of himself, Nicola and Harper, it simply read, ‘Happy birthday Harper. We love u x’.

But while Brooklyn, 26, is said to still regularly talk to his baby sister, the couple didn’t see Harper in person, choosing instead to holiday in St Tropez with the Peltz family. Speaking about Harper’s birthday previously, a source told heat, ‘Not having Brooklyn there will be heartbreaking. He’s never missed one before.’

Now, a source tells heat, former Spice Girl Victoria, 51 – who’s also mum to Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20 – is devastated at the growing distance between her brood. ‘She feels awful about what impact Brooklyn’s absence from the family is having on his siblings, particularly Harper,’ says a source. ‘Harper’s world has been turned upside down with Brooklyn seemingly ostracising himself from the family.

'Seeing her missing her brother and knowing she wants to help fix things really breaks Vic’s heart. If anything, it’s just making Victoria more frustrated with Brooklyn and Nicola. She wants to be able to settle her differences with them and minimise the negative effects it’s having on Harper and the other boys.’

Tensions between VB and Nicola were first rumoured in the run-up to her and Brooklyn’s wedding in 2022. It was reported Victoria had fallen out with Nicola after her daughter-in-law-to-be decided not to wear a VB-designed dress. Nicola, 30, later denied there was a feud, claiming  clashing schedules meant Victoria’s atelier was  busy and couldn’t make a gown, adding, ‘So then I had to pick another dress. [Vic] didn’t say you can’t wear it, I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it.’

The pair seemed to have patched things up, with Nicola supporting Vic at Fashion Week, and Victoria and David turning up to support Nicola at the premiere of her film Lola in 2024. But, rumblings of tensions surfaced after Romeo started dating DJ Kim Turnbull, with reports claiming that Kim and Brooklyn were once an item, which meant that Brooklyn and Nicola would be unable to attend David’s 50th birthday celebrations.

Kim later shut down the story, insisting it was nothing more than a ‘school friendship’, although it was later revealed she had dated Brooklyn’s old friend Rocco Ritchie. It was then reported that the story had come from Nicola’s camp as a way to deflect criticism for swerving all of David’s birthday parties.

Romeo and Kim have since split, with insiders saying their romance ‘fizzled out’, but Brooklyn has continued to snub his family on multiple occasions, shocking fans when he failed to even acknowledge his dad’s much-longed-for knighthood in June.

While the drama continues, we’re told the Beckhams are keen to keep Harper as far away from the fallout as possible. Our source says, ‘As their youngest child, both Vic and David are very protective of her, but Victoria is worried that there’s only so much she can do. She and David have been working overtime to make things seen as normal as possible – although there’s no denying Brooklyn and Nicola are choosing  not to spend time with them. Vic is doing what she can to bear the brunt, because she doesn’t want Harper thinking it’s her job to play peacemaker.’

As heat has previously reported, Victoria wants to spend as much quality time with her daughter as she can. The fashion designer is planning a ‘special mum-and-daughter’ trip abroad this summer, with an insider telling us, ‘She knows how hard it is to be a teenage girl, and with all the family stress, she wants to do all of their favourite things together.’

Mother-and-daughter bonding isn’t the only thing on VB’s mind, though. With Harper now entering her teenage years, we’re told Victoria wants to be more of a mentor figure to her daughter, who has big dreams of following in Posh’s footsteps.

It emerged late last year that the youngest Beckham was in the early stages of creating her own multi-million pound brand. Sources revealed Victoria had incorporated a business called H7B Limited – a nod to her daughter’s full name, Harper Seven Beckham. At the time, our insider said the teen was already garnering plenty of attention from brands keen to work with her, revealing, ‘There is huge demand from people who see her as someone lots of other teens would look up to.’

With her future looking bright, Harper’s celebrity status is growing. And no matter what happens between her family, we’re told Vic is keen to keep the special sibling bond as untouched as possible.

‘Vic’s hoping that Brooklyn and Harper will keep up the communication between them,’ says our source. ‘She wants the very best for Harper, who is really excited about her future right now and looking forward to starting her brand.’

The insider adds, ‘ The last thing Vic would want is for Harper to feel in any way responsible for what is going on.’
