McFly drummer Harry Judd has opened up about life as a parent to two young children. Harry and his wife, Izzy Judd, are the parents to three-year-old Lola and one-year-old Kit.
Speaking to The Mirror, the drummer was pretty candid about how his life changed when him and his wife brought young Kit home. The 33-year-old said, "There was a lovely moment when my wife told me after having Lola that being a parent brought out the best in me."
Continuing, he said, "When my son was born, it wasn't such a kind of rosy situation, it was the reality of two young children 19 months apart with both of us working – it was really stressful."
He then said, "I didn't feel an instant connection with my son as well when he was born." The star then went onto reveal that he had spoken to a number of other parents who had felt the same thing. He also speaks of the WaterWipes documentary, and how it touches on the idea that "You just expect to fall in love with your baby as soon as it's born", but "It doesn't always work like that."
While revealing that the first six months of Kit's life were "some of the trickiest months for us as parents", Harry also gushed over his adorable son saying, "Don't get me wrong I'm completely besotted with Kit now."
Harry also assured others that it is okay to talk about parenting struggles, and it's okay to say that it's not easy!
