Meghan said there were points she 'didn't want to be alive anymore'

In a very emotional part of the interview, Meghan discussed her mental health during her first pregnancy. Asked by Oprah if she was thinking of self-harm and having suicidal thoughts at some stage, Meghan replied: 'Yes. This was very, very clear. Very clear and very scary. I didn't know who to turn to in that. 'Meghan said she later asked a senior royal about the possibility of seeking inpatient care, and was told it wouldn't be possible because it 'wouldn’t be good for the institution'.

Megan said, when she was pregnant with her first child, that there were 'concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born'. Neither Harry or Meghan would say who they had these conversations with, with Meghan saying it would be very damaging to reveal who it was.

Kate made Meghan cry

Meghan told her side of the story, following numerous reports that Meghan made Kate cry during a bridesmaid fitting before Harry and Meghan's wedding. Actually, Meghan says, this was the other way round - however, she says she has forgiven Kate, and that Kate is a good person.

Harry says Charles stopped answering his calls

'You just said your dad stopped taking your calls,' Oprah said. 'Why?'

'Because I took matters into my own hands,' Harry said. 'It was like I need to do this for my family. This is not a surprise to anybody; it's really sad that it's got to this point, but I've got to do something for my own mental health, for my wife's, because I could see where this is headed.'

Harry also said the Queen wasn't surprised by their decision to stand back, as they discussed it with her three times prior to the announcement. He also said that the family have cut him off financially and added the couple's new life is only possible because of his inheritance from Harry's late mother, Princess Diana.

They're having a baby girl

Happy news from the interview! Harry and Meghan have revealed they are expecting a girl, and that they are expecting the baby in the summer.
