The One Direction singer met the Kate and the Prince of Wales as they attended their first Royal Variety Performance together and afterwards told reporters, “I said congratulations on the bump,” before adding that really, Kate “didn’t look bumpy.”

The Steal My Girl stars performed tonight alongside Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding and Bette Middler.
During the show, Jack Whitehall joked about his mum’s disappointed that he hadn’t dated his old schoolmate, Kate.
“She'll be doing it tonight, she'll be watching the Royal Variety show and I know what she'll be saying - she'll be like: 'Oh look, there he is,’” Jack told the audience.
“'The black sheep of the family embarrassing himself in front of the one that got away.’”
Kate stunned the waiting crowds outside the Palladium in London in a black Diane von Furstenberg dress.
