One Direction fans could be in for a long wait for the band’s hiatus to end - Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson are apparently not even talking to each other.
Things between the pair are said to be pretty frosty which may throw a spanner in the works if the boyband is to get back together after a one year break.
All the 1D members - Harry, Louis, Liam Payne and Niall Horan - promised they would be making music together as a group again around 12 months after finishing their Up All Night tour.
But Directioners might have to wait for Harry and Louis to get back on better terms, which might take a little longer.
A source told the Daily Star: “One Direction are not coming together in a year or even two.
“The fans have hoped that the group would honour their announcement of returning within 12 months.
“But that is a long way off and the boys are not even on track to mention a comeback.
“All four are loving their own solo freedom.”
Harry and Louis reportedly already had a strained relationship when the boys went their separate ways back in October.
Louis is now living in Los Angeles and is concentrating on being a father to his first son Freddie who was born in January.
Harry is set to appear in his first film, war epic Dunkirk, alongside famous actors Tom Hardy and Peaky Blinders' Cillian Murphy.
He is working with LA-based manager Jeffrey Azamoff who is apparently working on getting him some big deals in both music and Hollywood, which could mean he has a busy schedule for the next three years at least.
The source said: “Jeffrey is determined to make Harry a superstar as he believes he has the popularity and talent to be the next Justin Timberlake.
“The project will take at least three years for Harry, and the feeling is that 1D is very much a thing of the past.”
Liam is concentrating on his personal life after going public with his romance with former The X Factor judge and Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
Meanwhile, former One Direction star Zayn Malik is experiencing great success with his solo career with his video for debut single Pillowtalk having reached 405 million views on YouTube.
