Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis has been axed from the programme after serving around five years as character Sinead O'Conner.
Channel 4 bosses terminated her contract - 'with immediate effect' - four months after the 22-year-old signed her new one-year contract.

"Stephanie Davis will no longer be filming Hollyoaks. Her contract has been terminated with immediate effect," a show spokesman told the MailOnline.

In April, Stephanie spoke about her joy about signing her new contract. She told the Daily Star: "I'm really happy. I've been in the show since I was 16 and I'm 22 now. I've kind of grown up here, which has been mental."
On Wednesday, Stephanie wrote on her Instagram: "Wake up early tomorrow. Eat a good breakfast. Do you hair and makeup and put on a kick-ass outfit,' the screengrab of text reads.
"Buy your cup of coffee and enjoy every sip of it. Go to work, make that money, and learn something new in the process. Nourish. Grow. Inspire." With no mention of the termination.
'Self-destruction is not an option. And let every choice you make be a brick in the foundation of rebuilding yourself.'
Apart from the cryptic Inst-message, there has been no reason yet why Stephanie, who first appeared on the soap in 2010, has been given the boot.
