There’s nothing better than kicking off your Friday with some pictures of David Beckham and, thanks to the Phillips Auction House, this is exactly what’s happening today.
David has posed for 25 of the world’s best artists, including Damien Hirst, Annie Leibovitz and Tracey Emin, and the pictures of the former footballer are set to be auctioned off for charity.
The auction is set to take place on 27 February and will raise money for The David Beckham UNICEF Fund and Positive View Foundation.
“His appeal is ubiquitous: he is happy being a gay icon, a teenage idol, a spokesperson for sport and a UNICEF goodwill ambassador,” Kathy Adler, curator of David Beckham: The Man, said.
We’ll definitely be throwing in a bid. But we think these pieces of art will go for far more than we can afford!
