Stars of TV show Outnumbered Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner were married on-screen for seven years, but now they're dating in real life too.

In news that has made us go all warm and fuzzy on the inside, it turns out that actors Hugh and Claire, who played Pete and Sue Brockman on the show between 2007 and 2014, have now found love with each other after their respective marriages broke down.

Hugh, who was married to Kate Abbot-Anderson in 1996 but separated in 2015, confirmed the happy news in an interview with The Mail on Sunday.

When asked about the blossoming romance, Hugh beamed: "I am very, very happy, we are so very happy. It’s nice and yes, it’s so lovely."

A friend of the couple added to the publication: "It’s the most wonderful love story, they found one another at the right time in their lives and it’s all rather sweet. Over the past few weeks there has been some talk within the acting world of them being an item," adding that they had actually been in a relationship since last year.

Another friend told The Sun: "They were going through marriage breakdowns at very similar times, but it was quite a while after their separations that they got together last year.

"They’ve always been really friendly but they were living their own lives until they were both single."

The publication also reported that the couple are living together in Hugh's £1.2 million London flat, the property he bought and has been living in since his marriage broke down in 2015.

Claire, meanwhile, split from her TV director hubby Charles Palmer two and a half years ago after their marriage in 2001 and they're now divorced, sharing sons William, 19, and 16-year-old Henry.
