Curiously White Chicks-faced occasional rapper and full-time bum-haver Iggy Azalea is being pursued in the courts for hella money after a dude calling himself her husband filed for divorce.
Que? Yeah, turns out there’s this little law in Texas that says if an unmarried couple act like they’re legally wed, they’re basically common-law husband and wife. Which is a bit crap for Iggy Azalea, because her ex Hefe Wine is now coming after her for half the dosh she’s made since hitting the big time.
Now he’s filed ‘divorce’ papers saying he and Iggy “agreed to be married, holding themselves out as man and wife and began residing together in the State of Texas on or about September 2008” – and he wants the courts to prohibit the sale of “various assets” they jointly accumulated throughout their relationship.
It’s not the first time this guy has attempted to leech off Iggy – last month she accused him of illegally copying data from her laptop while they lived together after he boasted of having an EP of Iggy’s that would “shock the world”, reports TMZ.
She also alleged that he forged her signature on a document giving him exclusive rights to her music and videos. Oh, and he’s been linked to a potential sex tape of hers. Nice guy.
Anyway, Iggy’s rep says the latest ‘divorce’ news is total baloney and claims Hefe is just making a desperate attempt at a money grab. So. Nothing to see here people, move along.
