Are you following Instagram Husbands (@ig_husband) yet? If not, you better check your boyfriend hasn’t already posted about you on there.
The account – with the tagline “stay strong, stay stoic” is for boyfriends and husbands whose main purpose in life is to help their girlfriends out in creating arty photos for Instagram. Whether it’s using their height to take the perfect #coffeecup shot, or taking 4,382 pictures of their girlfriends posing, it seems the men behind the cameras are sick of it.
Captions on posts include “Freaking ‘shoe pic’ = always late” and “I had to have carpal tunnel surgery on my photo hand. The doctor asked if I know what may have caused it. I told her: Amaro” and “Yesterday she asked me if I would brighten the contrast in the room. After awhile, I figured out that she just wanted the lights on”.
There’s also a video confessional from beleaguered Instagram Husbands, revealing the pain behind the filters.
This is bad. The boys are fighting back. They’re grouping together to form a support group. Should we be worried? Er, no, because it’s actually a comedy idea by sketch show The Mystery Project. But still: pretty funny.
