Isla Fisher has opened up about her divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen for the first time, admitting that it’s been a really tough time for her. The former Home And Away actress, 49, who split from the Borat star, 53, in 2023, said, ‘It’s the most difficult thing that I’ve been through and I’ve learnt so much about myself.’
Isla also spoke about co-parenting their three children – daughters Olive, 17, and Elula, 14, and son Montgomery, nine – saying, ‘I never imagined my family being separated, but we are committed and loving parents. Kids are the most important thing, and you want them to feel safe and loved.’

The star – who has now started a new life in London after years of living in LA and Sydney – added, ‘We are building a new, healthy version of what our family looks like, and putting as much care and love into it as possible.’
The couple mainly kept their relationship out of the spotlight after meeting at a ‘pretentious party’ back in 2001. They got engaged in 2004, and went on to tie the knot in a lavish ceremony in 2010. However, they announced last April that they had ended their marriage the previous year, writing, ‘After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down.’
The announcement came just weeks after actress Rebel Wilson called Sacha a ‘massive asshole’, and accused him of misconduct in her memoir Rebel Rising. He strongly denied all her claims.
