Panic over, Jack Black is not dead.
The Tenacious D star has just been the victim of a really weird, twisted hoax.
Fans were panicking that the actor had died when it was announced on his band *Tenacious D’*s Twitter page.
“It is with a heavy heart I am to announce that Jack Black passed away last night at 3:37am,” the tweet read. “The cause of death is yet unknown.”
One fan frantically replied, “Please say you've been hacked. Please say you've been hacked. Please.” Lucky for us, he had.
The sick hacker later tweeted, “Calm down guys! It's just a prank bro, look there's the camera…” alongside a picture of a camera.

He followed it up with tweets that read, “The Legend is still alive, it is ok guys :)” and “While you are all on Twitter, you should all follow me @Ruthless XDDD.”
We’re not gonna do that, dude…
“I'm going to assume that Jack is asleep right now, so when he wakes up, email the email that was linked to this Twitter for his account back,” he later added.
Jack has remained silent on the matter as yet, but his bandmate John Konesky quickly attempted to clear up the confusion.
He tweeted, “@RealTenaciousD 's Twitter feed was hacked. Than sh*t ain't true! They're working on fixing it!”
We’re glad Jack isn’t dead, but we can’t wait to hear what he has to say about all this…
