Jack Tweed is set to appear in court today after allegedly “smashing up” a branch of McDonald's and causing £2.50 worth of damage.
Alright, hang on a minute, the smashing part all sounds very dramatic but the damage amounted to £2.50? What did he do? Thump a Big Mac? Well, no, he actually went for some cups and napkins.
On a more serious note, Jack, 27, who is the widower of late Big Brother star Jade Goody, is also accused of assault and two counts of threatening behaviour.
He will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today after the incident in October last year.
Jack was granted bail following the disturbance, which happened at the restaurant at 4am.
This is not Jack’s first brush with the law – it was previously reported that one of his charges in relation to the McDonald’s incident involved threatening behaviour and harassment towards his ex Chanelle Hayes.
The former Big Brother housemate and glamour model refused to comment on the claims and a spokesperson for Jack denied this was the case.
At the age of 21 Jack married Jade Goody shortly before she lost her battle with cancer. He was serving time for actual bodily harm at the time.
Six months after Jade’s death he was charged with rape and was held on remand without application for bail.
He was later found not guilty.
