We’ve gotten used to hearing celebrities sing the praises of the NHS and encouraging us all to get the coronavirus vaccine over the past year, so it still comes as a shock when a famous face lectures us about their anti-vax beliefs.
Last week, Dan Osborne went on an Instagram rant, telling followers there was no way he or his three kids would be getting vaccinated, and that he didn’t believe COVID was “dangerous enough to be forcing a vaccine on the world”.
Claiming the pandemic was “all about money”, the former TOWIE star, who recently returned from a family holiday in Portugal, said, “I’ve had hundreds, maybe thousands of messages about kids getting the vaccination. Personally, that sh*t isn’t ever going in me – never mind my kids.”
And, after fans of his wife Jacqueline Jossa – who has been married to Dan since 2017, and has Ella, six, and Mia, three, with him – questioned if she was an “anti vaxxer”, too, we’re told she’s worried that taking a stance could damage her career.

“Publicly, Jac knew she had to choose her words carefully, as she doesn’t want it to look like she and Dan are fighting. But privately, she was absolutely furious,” an insider tells heat. “Of course, they don’t always see eye-to-eye on things, but Jac doesn’t share his views on vaccines. She blasted Dan for spreading ‘conspiracy theories’ and getting the whole family into hot water.”
Responding to a fan’s question, Jac, 29, said she wasn’t against the vaccination, but was “pro choice”, later putting up an Instagram post that read, “We all have a choice.”
With her career at an all-time high and her family at the heart of her brand, our source says she’s furious that Dan is jeopardising that, especially after stories about other celebs potentially being banned from TV shows if they’re anti-vaxxers. “She’s worked so hard to get where she is, and he doesn’t seem to realise how judgmental people can be. She’s said she’s been living in fear of getting ‘cancelled’ and losing lucrative deals.”
The source adds, “She also reminded Dan that it affects the kids, too. She’s been working hard to provide for them. They had just been getting themselves into a good place after all the drama they’ve been through in the past few years, and Dan goes and messes everything up with a stupid rant.”
