Jacqueline Jossa: ‘I won’t let this break me and Dan’

For some couples, all this recent time together has brought them closer – yes, we’ve noticed the baby boom – while for others it’s been a testing time. During the last national lockdown, EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa moved out of her home with her two daughters in tow, leaving husband Dan Osborne behind.

It was said to have, “magnified” their issues and Jac appeared to move into, what she described as her, “parents’ new home” for a break from her marriage. This time around, with England back under tough restrictions, we’re told the 28 year old is setting new boundaries to make sure their marriage survives.

“Jac is being pragmatic about lockdown, she thinks it’s healthy for her and Dan to have some space, even though at times she finds it hard to trust him,” our insider claims.

And after announcing the exciting news that Jac will make her West End debut in A Christmas Carol, we’re told she’s renting a house to use for rehearsing, as well as a sanctuary from the pressures of her home life.

Our source explains “She’s got her West End show coming up and has arranged to have another secret base like she did last time where she can escape to learn her lines and have a bit of breathing space. It’s there just in case they need it.”

Back in May, Jac was seen with her daughters – Ella, five, and Mia, two – at the separate property. She eventually told her followers, “I've been honest about my situation at the moment, and yes I've been staying at another house – a house my parents will eventually be moving into. I had really been struggling (haven't we all!?) lately and, as I said the other day, I've just needed some time and breathing space.”

She later confirmed to her fans that she had not split from 29-year-old Dan, saying, “I need some time. There is no split. No divorce. We are working together not against each other.”

But this time around, we’re told Jac isn’t taking any chances. “She’s laid out new rules for them where they have to be on a fixed schedule that will leave no doubt in her mind about what Dan is getting up to. They have to check in with each other via text at least three times a day and Jac has said they’re both allowed to have a change of scenery so long as it’s agreed in advance. But pals are worried it could be a recipe for disaster.”

This comes a year after Jacqueline was crowned Queen of the Jungle on I’m a Celeb…. During her time in the jungle, cheating allegations surfaced, accusing Dan of having had a threesome with his Celebrity Big Brother co-stars. It was also reported that Jac’s campmate Myles Stephenson confirmed to her that Dan had cheated with Gabby Allen, although Dan denied all allegations.

In June, however, he gave an interview and admitted, "I’ve made mistakes, yeah. I’ve done things I shouldn’t have done. Me and Jac have spoken about that and she has forgiven me." And recently the pair have looked happier than ever. Jac and Dan recently spent a day together at Thorpe Park, as well as heading to a spa for Jac’s recent birthday. Posting a photo of the couple, Jac called it the, “best birthday ever”, telling her followers, “We’ve had a facial, spa evening and then a lush dinner, now slightly tipsy, in bed watching pitch perfect, so.... best night really.”
