Forget* Snakes on a Plane*, if Jake Gyllenhaal is on your flight you’re going to need a few boxes of man-sized tissues…

Hunky Hollywood star Jake might look like he could crush walnuts with his biceps but that doesn’t mean he’s too tough to cry. Espesh if he’s a few thousands miles up in the sky.

"I weep in the air."

The 33-year-old star of this month’s creepfest Nightcrawler has admitted he just can’t help but burst into tears when he’s flying!

Confessing/chatting to Conan O’Brien on his Conan show Jake said, “I get emotional on planes. Doesn't everyone get emotional on planes? There's not that much air? Like not a lot of oxygen, you need oxygen to breathe. I feel like there's been a study that has been done about it. You watch the movies and like movies I would never cry at on land, I weep at in the air.”

And just when you thought he just couldn’t get any cuter he goes on to say this…

"It's just an emotional journey..."

“This time it was that movie Bears, I was watching that movie bears. It was really moving, it's really moving. Look you guys seriously, it's really moving. It’s a live action movie about bears. It's about Sasha, I think her name is, and her two bear cubs and their journey through Alaska from winter into spring. It's a tough journey. It's just an emotional journey through the wilderness!”

Ah JEEZ, Jake! What are you trying to do to us here? What we wouldn’t give to be sitting next to a blubbing Jake on a plane. He could totes snot all over our shoulder.

UK viewers can watch Conan at 11pm Monday-Friday, on truTV (freeview channel 68) - the home of larger than life characters in real situations
