Not gonna lie, we shipped Little Mix's Jesy Nelson and Rixton's Jake Roche into next Saturday. We sort of lived vicariously through Jakesy; a couple who proved love truly does exist in a year that was generally pretty shit. Until they split a-month-and-a-bit ago.
Oh, our hearts BROKE. What about that infamous proposal aided by Ed Sheeran? All the wedding talk? Literally wtf went down between the pair of 'em?
Well - just when we thought we'd never know exactly why Jesy and Jake called it quits - he's claimed we'll get an explanation next year. OH JESUS.

Jake's mum Coleen Nolan then confirmed they'd split on Loose Women later that month, claiming their relationship was 'a lot to handle' but claiming it was 'amicable on both sides.'

Jake's band Rixton then released their new track I Swear She'll Be the Death of Me. Everyone assumed the lyrics were about Jesy.

Jesy's now reportedly dating a chap by the name of Bradley Church. Apparently they're in Paris with Perrie Edwards and her new boo.
ANYWAY, now Jake's told a fan via Instagram that they'll know the truth behind the breakup 'in 2017.' One fan commented: "He really loved her. But what went down we will never know."
His response? "Yes you will know. 2017"
That's about all we know rn, but we're guessing 2017's gonna be pretty bloody interesting. Another Shout Out to My Ex? Time will tell, eh?
