Is James Arthur getting SUED over his new song?

Oh no.

James Arthur has made a pretty impressive comeback after a good few years out of the spotlight.

And, ever the supporters of new leaves and second chances, we were YAYING when he killed it on The X Factor earlier this month.

However, things aren’t looking so sweet for the reformed star because he MIGHT be facing a bit of a legal to-do over his new song.

Yikes.

Remember that son The Man Who Can’t Be Moved by The Script? The one where Danny O’Donoghue runs around New York talking about how he refuses to move off of the street corner where he met his ex-girlfriend? But even though she doesn’t want to be with him it’s not in creepy because OBVIOUSLY if you sing about it and wear a nice jacket, it’s romantic and not a bit sad.

Anyway the band are reportedly paying someone to work out whether James’s single, Say You Won’t Let Go, has ripped off their song.

“Say You Won’t Let Go is already one of the biggest singles of the year so this is a real hammer blow,” a source told The Sun.

“James has just got on the straight and narrow after a difficult few years and a lawsuit is the last thing he needs,”

Corr blimey.

We can’t personally hear the similarities, but perhaps years of listening to the Backstreet Boys on repeat has ruined our eardrums.

But it’s bad news for James, who first flew into our lives and onto our telly screens when he won The X Factor FOUR WHOLE YEARS AGO.

Feeling old yet?

Not only did he win over the nation with his damn saucy version of Let’s Get It On, but he also teamed up with his mentor, Nicole Scherzinger, to create the legendary number that is the Vagina & Big Hairy Balls.

Never forget.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go quite as expected for James, who was dropped by Simon Cowell’s label, Syco, after two years of erratic behaviour.

But after taking a break to work through some personal stuff, James returned, got re-signed to the record label, sincerely apologised for his mistakes and made everyone love him again with his latest single.

Come on, lads, forget about all this (alleged) lawsuit business. Pop over to heat HQ, we’ll stick the kettle on and talk it through over some chocolate biscuits.

Did you know that Little Mix called THIS X Factor contestant an 'actress'?!
