It's just six more weeks before the first instalment of Fifty Shades Of Grey hits our cinema screens like a filthy sex tsunami, and lead star Jamie Dornan has been dropping some heavy hints about what we can expect from the film.
Speaking to Elle magazine (out today), the 32-year-old admitted he had to do some serious research to get inside the mind of sexual sadist Christian Grey - including visiting an ACTUAL sex dungeon.
"I went there, they offered me a beer, and they did…whatever they were into. I saw a dominant with one of his two submissives," he confessed to the mag.
"I was like, 'Come on guys I know I'm not paying for this but I am expecting a show.' It was an interesting evening. Then going back to my wife and newborn baby afterwards... I had a long shower before touching either of them."
We bet.
MORE Fifty Shades news:
Jamie, whose wife Amelia Warner gave birth to their first daughter in November last year, also found the world of BDSM much larger - and way more bewildering - than he first assumed.
"It's a far bigger scene than I imagined: in pretty much any city in the world that you could name, people want to get spanked with a paddle with studs on it," he explained.
But he insisted the content of the film is not anti-women or misogynistic, saying it is actually men who are more likely to be submissive than women - "very powerful men" too. Anyone else getting some uncomfortable images of David Cameron being gagged right now? No? Just us?
Jamie went on to add that all the kinky sex stuff really takes a back seat to the real plot of the film: the love story between Mr Grey and his sexretary, Anastasia Steele (played by Dakota Johnson).
"The love story is more important than the BDSM aspect. I mean, we are going to tell a love story, you know, it can’t just be what happens in the Red Room, that’s not a film. There’s so much more going on than that," he added.
Fifty Shades Of Grey comes out in cinemas on 13 February 2015.
