Jamie Laing, Made In Chelsea poppet, has spoken about Spencer Matthews’ steroid use and ejection from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

Spencer was forced to quit the ITV show when his dependence on “steroid-based” medication became clear.

It’s alleged that Spencer became aggressive when show producers refused to provide him with the drug, which could have been an attack of what’s known as “roid rage”.

But Jamie was keen to stress that his pal is in a much better place now.

“Spenny is great. I can't comment [on whether he is in rehab] but what I will say is that he is my best friend and he has my full support. People make mistakes and he's made a big one.

Spencer had bulked up for a charity boxing match

"But to come out and be so honest about everything the way he has is so bold.

"It is very easy to hide away from things like this but he came clean. Sadly, that decision got him kicked out of the jungle."

"It's very unfortunate because he was doing so well. But as I said, people do make mistakes. He made a decision and he's not happy with it. But he is surrounded by friends and family."

But did blond-bombshell Jamie know that Spencer’s buff new physique was getting a helping hand?

“I really don't want to comment on that," Jamie told The Mirror.

But Jamie did make it clear that his own Greek god figure is all down to him:

"What I will say though is that when it comes to me, I steer well clear of anything like that [steroids]."

Glad to hear it, Jamie pal. Spencer is being tipped for a turn in Celebrity Big Brotherto try and claw his way back into the public’s favour.
