Jamie Lomas confirms new romance after meeting someone on the set of Hollyoaks

Hollyoaks actor and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here star Jamie Lomas looked smitten with his new girlfriend Portia Hughes as the happy couple made their first public appearance.

After days of rumours, Jamie, who plays the role of Warren Fox in the Channel 4 soap, attended Friends Fest in Manchester yesterday, walking the red carpet with Portia alongside him. The actor also uploaded a snap of the pair to his Instagram account, writing, 'sometimes in life you win the lottery'. [sic]

Fans were quick to comment on the cute photo, with many expressing their happiness for Jamie. One user wrote, 'Everyone deserves there happy ever after 😍 love it! 🙌', with another writing , 'I'm soooòooo in love!!!!! you deserve happiness and you've got it right there 😚' [sic].

Jamie met Portia on the set of Hollyoaks as she works as a production staff member on the soap. Despite only dating for a number of weeks, reports suggest that Jamie is 'smitten' with the 25-year-old, with his friends speculating a quick-fire engagement.

The 43-year-old Jamie was previously married to Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh. The pair, who started dating in 2008, married in 2012 and welcomed a daughter called Polly into the world in 2011.

Jamie and Kym later divorced in 2014, but the pair have remained good friends and co-parent seven-year-old Polly.

After enjoying playing the role of Warren Fox in Hollyoaks on and off since 2006, Jamie made the decision to leave the show in 2017. Just a few weeks later, the actor appeared on the 17th series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, finishing in second place behind Made In Chelsea star Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo.

Jamie later announced he would be returning to Hollyoaks, reprising his role as bad boy Warren in 2018.
