Depending on your preference for long-haired men, this news will either devastate or please you. Jared Leto, he of the long, flowing ombre hair that makes our own look CRAP, has chopped it all off for a movie role.
The film's director David Ayer posted the moment Leto went for the chop on Twitter, before revealing the 43-year-old's new 'do. Yep, Jared Leto is 43 - we'll just let you digest that information for a moment.
Jared Leto is set to play the Joker in the film - and has described the character as a "beautiful disaster". He's also clearly not allowed long hair - Jared now has a more boyish crop.
Leto also lost his beard, and mourned its absence on Instagram, writing: “I miss my beard already.” US TOO JARED, US TOO.
Jared teased he was getting rid of his hair at the Oscars, telling (presumably sobbing) reporters: “This is the going away party for my hair...This is the last night you’ll see me with long hair.”
Twitter's response to the loss of Jared's barnet was mixed - ranging from "OMFG give me back Jesus" (an actual tweet) to "OMFG he's beautiful" (also an actual tweet).
But where do you stand on Jared's man make-over? Comment below - and here's a reminder of his incredible locks to give you a dose of hair envy.
