We see a plethora of celebrities walking on the red carpet, beautiful hair flowing in the wind, but what really goes into creating these hairstyles and more importantly who creates them?
Nine times out of ten it’s Jen Atkin – the hair stylist on every celebrity's wish list.
So we thought it was about time we did a little research into who exactly this hair stylist extraordinaire is.
Who is Jen Atkin?
Jen Atkin is one of THE MOST in-demand hair stylists in the celebrity world. She has a host of super cool celeb clients, most notably the Kardashian sisters. She is originally from Utah, but moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in hair. She splits her time between New York, Los Angeles and Dubai (oh and Kim Kardashian's house apparently).
Which celebrities has Jen Atkin worked with?
Her biggest supporters are the Kardashian sisters, however, Jen has worked with the who's who of Hollywood. From Jennifer Lopez to Chrissy Teigen, to Katy Perry and the Hadid sisters, just to name a few. Now that's an impressive list.
Which looks is Jen most known for?
Kim Kardashian stepped out during Paris Fashion Week with platinum blonde hair (Wasn't it A-M-A-Z-I-N-G?) and her first magazine cover during her platinum blonde moment was for the French edition of Elle, which Jen created the hair look for. "It was such a cool look – it can really pay off when a client steps out of their comfort zone," Jen said in an interview with The Telegraph.
What else has Jen Atkins been up to? What's Ouai all about?
Jen created a digital magazine called Maneaddicts.com which gives readers access to instructional 'how to' videos, inspiration for new and on-trend hairstyles and advice on how to keep your hair looking and feeling healthy. Following on from the success of the digital magazine, Jen launched Mane University which brings top stylists from around the world to different cities to teach and inspire a new batch of inspiring hairdressers.
As well as this, she released her own range of hair extensions - Chloe & Isabel hair accessories, a haircare line called Ouai and worked with Dyson to launch a brand new blowdryer (Wow, pretty impressive huh)
