Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie “nearly meet” at Critics’ Choice Awards

It's taken all the diplomacy skills in Hollywood, but somehow Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie have still not come face to face on a red carpet – until last night.

Both Brad Pitt's ex-wife and his current one were at the 20th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards in LA – the first time they've both attended at the same time since Jen's split from Brad in 2005.

Jen-An was given the all-clear to walk the red carpet first, then Ange followed behind her a few minutes later to sign autographs and greet the press.

Angelina, who came without new husband Brad, was up for Best Director for her directorial debut, Unbroken, but missed out to Richard Linklater for Boyhood.

She wore a stunning Versace metallic silver wrap dress with diamond stud earrings, while Jen – who was there with fiancé Justin Theroux – looked incredible in a red plunging trouser suit and gold jewellery.
