Jennifer Aniston’s luxury $21million mansion in Bel-Air was once her safe space, but a terrifying incident with her alleged stalker has now left her wanting to pack up and leave Los Angeles for good.
Earlier this month, the Friends actress, 56, was at home when Jimmy Wayne Carwyle reportedly smashed his car through her gate. He was stopped by Jennifer’s security guard, who detained him until the police arrived and arrested him. He’s been charged with felony stalking and vandalism, and is accused of sending the star voicemails, emails and social media messages since March 2023.
The 48 year old – who appeared in court shirtless and wrapped in a blanket – has not yet entered a plea.

We’re told that the ordeal has rocked Jennifer to her core, so much so that she’s planning to relocate to her second home in Santa Barbara on the Californian coast, a farmhouse that has been undergoing renovations since she bought it from Oprah Winfrey in 2022 for $14.8million.
An insider reveals, ‘She loves her home in LA, but lately the city is starting to feel like a scarier place. Having this person get so close to her has spooked her, and she’s now talking about accelerating her plans to move out of town. Ideally, she was going to wait for her home in Santa Barbara to be completely ready before moving, but now she’s in a different headspace and is feeling this sense of panic. She doesn’t want to overreact and be run out of town, but at the same time, this does ring serious alarm bells. She intends to move and it’s going to happen sooner rather than later.’
Jen bought the home in 2012, and previously lived there with her ex-husband of nearly three years, Justin Theroux, before their split in 2017.

And although the suspected home invasion would be an unimaginable nightmare for anyone, Jennifer has dealt with an incident of stalking in the past. In 2010, a then-24-year-old man called Jason R. Peyton was arrested near her previous home while carrying a sharp object, along with duct tape and some love notes addressed to her.
So, our source explains that the latest incident has been triggering for Jennifer, and she’s now hoping that quitting Hollywood will give her the fresh start she needs.
They add, ‘As bittersweet as the move will be, Jennifer says she’s looking forward to the change. She’s been ready to start a new chapter in her life for a while now, and she’s trying her best to focus on what’s ahead, rather than what she’s leaving behind.’
