Yesterday we broke the sad news that Jeremy Kyle and his wife of 13 years, Carla Germaine, had called time on their marriage.
And despite everyone thinking it was because the couple hadn’t had sex “for ages”, the ITV host has now revealed the reason behind the split.

Jeremy, 50, told The Sun: “After 13 years of a generally happy marriage my wife and I have separated amicably.
“We have sadly grown apart over recent years and been living apart since earlier this summer.”
And if you’re wondering why we were all thinking the split came because of a disappointing sex life, it’s because Jeremy made the frank admission during his show in June, while interrogating a woman about whether she'd cheated on her partner.
She had declared, “Listen, I get sex from [my boyfriend] whenever I want. I don't need to go and get sex from someone else.”
He snapped back: “Tell him then! I've had enough about talking about it. I haven't had sex for ages myself.”
Jeremy and Carla, 40, married in 2002, and have children Henry, Alice and Ava together.
The pair met when Carla, then a 23-year-old model, entered a competition run by the BRMB radio station in Birmingham where Jeremy was working.
