It has been reported that Jeremy McConnell has been arrested on suspicion of assault after flying back from Ireland to Liverpool in order to help Merseyside Police with their enquires.
According to The Mirror, a spokesperson for the force said in a statement: "Following a report of an assault at an address in Stephenson Grove, Rainhill, a man has this morning (Thursday, 16 March) been arrested.
"A 27-year-old man from Liverpool city centre has been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage after voluntarily attending a police station on Merseyside. He remains in police custody for questioning."
This comes after Stephanie Davis was named as the victim of Jeremy's alleged assault.
A representative for Jeremy has previously said: "Jeremy denies any wrong doing, however he is fully cooperating with the police in their investigations."
