Jezza lived with his mum in County Wicklow when he was growing up – his parents had separated when he was a year old. Sadly, she died when he was 15 and had gone round his cousin’s house, leaving her by herself.

“I got back about two hours later and she was gone - she had a brain haemorrhage. Dead on arrival,” he explains.

Shortly after that, his older brother died in a motorbike accident, then his sister passed away after a heart attack brought on by her epilepsy. All three died within 15 months of each other. Jeremy says: “Of course I miss them, I loved them dearly, but I think that’s what levelled me out a bit – I express myself the way I want to. I just grew up really fast.”

After his footballing career went down the pan, Jeremy thought about going into porn. Like, actual porn.
“Before the show I was trying to get into porn. I live with my best mate and every time I’m banging a bird he hears her reaction and he starts clapping in the other room,” he told the Gay Times ahead of his time in the house.
“I’m known for my girth and my length so I’m pretty confident.” Nice.
Jeremy is close with ex-Big Brother star Marc O’Neill, so no doubt the two plotted CBB strategy before he went into the house.
He lived with his dad from the age of 15 and used to take girls back to his bedroom as a teenager. “[He’d be] watching telly in the lounge while the chandelier was rocking as I was on the bedroom floor,” said Jeremy of their living arrangements.
He gets a weekly manicure, has his hair cut once a week, gets his eyebrows threaded regularly AND owns a powder compact he can whip out to touch up any shiny face moments. Incredible.
But he really hates feet and never wants to touch them.
Jeremy claims he had to do CBB because he’d slept with all the models in Ireland and “needed a new stomping ground”.

Not much is known about Jeremy’s love life – he’s been getting close to both Stephanie Davis AND Tiffany Pollard in the CBB house, but his most significant relationship to date has been with Holly Carpenter. She’s a former Miss Ireland, so it looked like a match made in heaven, but they split after 18 months of dating.
