Here at heatworld, we're no stranger to the abundance of jokes that come out of Stephanie Davis and Jeremy McConnell's on-again-off-again relationship.
The pair have been providing us enough drama for a decade since they met on CBB in January 2016. But now, things have took a more serious turn as Jeremy has opened up about the loss of his parents, struggle with drug abuse and commitment to Steph and their baby Caben-Albi.
Honestly, we're actually super team Jeremy after reading what he has to say. Prepare to feel EMOSH.
In an interview with the Sun, he opened up about his dodgy behaviour all the way back in Summer 2016 when Steph fell pregnant.
He said: "The stuff I’ve seen, the stuff I’ve done… I’m surprised I’m not dead with the way I’ve partied.
"Last summer while Stephanie was pregnant, I was getting thousands of pounds to go partying, I was on a footballer’s wage."
Supposedly, he was making £5000 per club appearance and doing two to three a week. £15000 A WEEK? FOR HAVING FUN??
Of course, it sounds all fun and games in theory but in reality it put Jeremy on a downward spiral into further drug abuse and turned him into something of an egomaniac. He even blew his nose on a 1OO euro note and threw it on the floor. Ew.
He claims his drug addiction was levels above his BB housemates Darren Day and David Guest. To put that into perspective, Darren used to spend £2000 a week on cocaine while David spent £500 a day on Class A drugs (according to his bodyguard).
But it wasn't just the opportunity to party that caused Jeremy's addiction, he was fighting some huge demons after a troubled childhood where he lost his mother, brother and sister as a teen. Then, in March this year his dad and aunty passed away within weeks of each other leaving him feeling completely alone.
He continued: "I found out the Caben situation, I was obviously delighted, but then my dad passed, my aunty passed a few days after, then I had trouble with Steph…
"I’m still grieving my mum, brother and sister to be honest. I put on this happy front but deep down I’m a hurt boy who hasn’t processed any of the deaths and I’ve lost my family."
Reaching breaking point, he decided to tackle his addiction before his son could remember his behaviour.
Now, he's vowed he's on the straight and narrow, saying: "All I want to do is be a family man and provide for my family, and leave that party boy behind.
"I want to be a father figure, and be a dad. With Caben, my mother, my brother, my sister, my dad, they’re all living through him. That’s my bloodline. That’s Caben. I grew up in a broken home, I don’t want that for my son."
Through therapy he realised that while he doesn't crave alcohol and drugs, he uses them as a crutch when things begin to break down in his life. Which is what led to his relapse two weeks ago after an argument with Steph ended in a huge twitter row and Jeremy turning back to alcohol.
The argument all stemmed from when they sat down to watch Beauty School Cop Out's together where Jeremy gets off with a bunch of girls (rookie mistake guys). Snowballing into a huge fight, Jeremy left to go to a hotel and ended up drinking again.
He said: "When I pick up a drink or put up a tweet it's self-sabotage, it's self-harming. I'm very insecure. I'm scared of people leaving me. If I felt like Steph was going to leave me I would do something out of anger, like in the past.
"There's no excuse, but a lot of my behaviour is irrational and I am working hard to change that."
Talking about his relapse, he said: "I felt massively terrible. It's the last time I ever lift a drink again. I was two-and-a-half months sober, which for me was a massive achievement in my sobriety.
"I was sloppy with my aftercare, I was busy with work and I wasn't giving it the time that it needs."
So, what about Steph? Does he plan to keep things solid with her or will we have another decade worth of drama to write about in the next month?
Well, while he's fully aware their relationship is explosive, he claims all their previous arguments were just an ego battle.
He said: "Stephanie and I are like chemicals - six days out of seven we're totally fine but then there'll be an explosion.
"When she was pregnant things got malicious between us, but it was all egos - we never stopped loving one another.
"I love her and she has always stood by me. She is my family now."
We might be being SUPER optimistic and naive here, but we kinda have faith in them! Here's to hoping they take their relationship OFFLINE and live as a happy family forever. Awwwwww, the sun is making us too happy guys.
