These Love Islanders won’t be invited to Jess Shears and Dom Lever’s wedding

Bit awkward.

Jess and DOm

Forget 2011’s royal wedding, or Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s extravagant nuptials in 2014, the wedding of the century – scratch that, millennium – was announced last month and the guest list is hotter than a summer season in Magaluf.

We’re, of course, talking about Love Island’s Jessica Shears and Dom Lever’s engagement – which we’ve been borderline obsessed with since the news broke.

But, while we’d imagined Jess and Dom’s fellow Islanders would make up the bridal party and groomsmen (and probably all get off with each other after the speeches), only a handful of their co-stars made the guest list cut.

"In regards to invites I suppose it’s the people you get on with so, Kem [Cetinay], Amber [Davies], Chris, Liv [Attwood], and Sam [Gowland], really..." Dom told Cosmopolitan atStand Up To Cancer’s Great Canoe Challenge.

Awkward. We had bets on Muggy Mike Thalassitis being best man.

And what about Marcel Sommerville, Gabby Allen, MONTANA BROWN?

(Sidenote: remember when Montana and Dom were a thing for approx. 0.3367 seconds?)

Dom did explain that all the Islanders had rushed to congratulate the happy couple, with many taking time out of their busy schedules to slide into his DMs after the proposal

Speaking of the proposal, Jess revealed all the details about Dom popping the big question.

"It happened the night before the TV Choice Awards. We were staying in a lovely apartment in London," Jess told OK!.

"Dom filled it with flowers and had got us a bottle of champagne ... I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat when Dom got down on one knee, he said afterwards that he had never seen me smile like that!"

And now there’s talk of a new show documenting the run up to the wedding.

"They’re currently in talks with telly bosses to star in a newlyweds show in the run-up to the big day. TV chiefs are really keen to nab the ‘first Love Island wedding’ as it’s a guaranteed viewing hit.

“And by the time it airs, Love Island fever will have struck the nation all over again following the next series,” a source told The Sun.
