Anyone who’s ever seen TOWIE will know the Wrights are big on family.
It’s clear Big Mark and Carol dote on their kids – Josh, Mark, Jess and Natalya – so it’s no wonder Jess and Carol are keen to share the love by supporting one of the National Lottery’s Befriending projects and spending time at Essex’s “Warm and Toasty” community club.
Jess, 34, tells heat she was “humbled” by the experience, while Carol, 59, admits she hates the idea of people being lonely at Christmas…
What’s Christmas like at the Wright house?
Jess: It’s absolutely crazy. But we always reflect at Christmas about the people who are lonely and don’t have the same as what we have – which is an amazing, busy, mad family. So, I’m going to help out at the soup kitchen in a few weeks and Mum’s coming, too.
Carol: Also at Christmas, if we know anyone who doesn’t have family and friends to spend it with, we’ll invite them in. I can’t think of anything worse than people being on their own and not having Christmas dinner.
Do you have any Wright family traditions?
C: We always wear the same pyjamas.
J: We’re not allowed to open presents until everyone’s in the room together. And I sometimes do a speech at Christmas lunch.
C: She’s like the queen.

J: Oh God, who knows? The pressure’s on. I’m sure by then one of us will have had a child.
Do you know what presents you’re getting each other?
C: It’s the hardest thing for me, because ever since they were little, I used to buy them big sacks and fill them up, and I’m still doing it. I think to myself, “When am I going to stop doing this? It’s ridiculous!”

C: Nothing, really. I just like to have a good time and enjoy the dinner and games. Although, I wouldn’t say no to a convertible Bentley.
