Having swapped sold-out shows for changing nappies and night feeds, Jesy Nelson is fully embracing motherhood. The former Little Mix star – who gave birth to identical twins Ocean Jade and Story Monroe in May – gave followers a glimpse of her new mum life last week, posting a series of sweet family snaps on Instagram. In the photos, baby daddy Zion Foster can be seen snuggling up with their two daughters, while another short shows the couple walking with a serious-looking stroller. Jesy captioned the post, 'Twin life.'

In July, the singer, 34, appeared on This Morning alongside Zion, 26, and the twins to talk about parenthood. Revealing how she tells her identical babies apart, Jesy laughed, ‘Ocean, bless her little heart, she’s receding a little bit. So, that’s how I can tell.’

Her new-found idyll comes after her well- documented difficult pregnancy. Ocean and Story were born prematurely at just over 31 weeks, after Jesy was diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome – a rare and potentially deadly condition that sees blood flow unevenly between twins sharing a placenta.

The diagnosis meant Jesy was forced to stay in hospital for 10 weeks, undergoing an emergency C-section in March. Reflecting on the challenging time, Jesy said, ‘When I look back now, it makes me so sad. It’s supposed to be the happiest time. We had no idea this could happen with twins.’ Zion added, ‘I just felt, while Jess was going through it all, reassuring words is all I could do, and trying to stay positive.’

Musician Zion has previously spoken about supporting Jesy through her pregnancy, revealing they had ‘grown to understand each other on a deeper level’. He said, ‘I think it’s at these times when you really, really know what love you have and what your relationship means.’

The couple started dating in 2022, before splitting last September. However, they revealed they were back together after they announced Jesy’s pregnancy in January.

Shortly after giving birth, Jesy opened up to her 10million Instagram followers, describing her daughters as ‘the strongest little girls I’ve ever known, who really do have the most inspiring story to tell’.

She wrote, ‘Nothing or no one will ever be able to prepare you as a parent for NICU [Neonatal Intensive Care Unit]. It's the most overwhelming feeling of emotions, not being able to feel like you can protect your babies. Naturally, as a mother, you want to hold them and comfort them when they cry, but you can't because they have feels like a million wires coming of them.'
