Following the news of the death of Jim Carrey's on-off girlfriend Cathriona White, the actor has released a statement paying tribute.
He said of Cathriona, who is thought to have taken her own life:
"I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona.
It is thought that she and Jim, who first met in 2012, dated, broke up then got back together this May, had split again the day beforehand.
