It's pretty much universally acknowledged that J.K. Rowling is the absolute queen of everything – writing, taking down Twitter trolls, formulating complex magical worlds that childhoods will be spent immersed in while she's sat on a train etc etc.
And it turns out she's a pretty mean drawer too, and Pottermore have released some of her early Harry Potter sketches.
So early, in fact, that Dean Thomas was called Gary.
GARY!
And does Harry have a mullet?
The above was drawn in the '90s before she'd finished Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone.
Would you LOOK at that detail on Severus Snape.
HE LOOKS BLOODY TERRIFYING.
RIP Snape :(
Quidditch just how we'd imagined <3
Seriously – LOOK at Peeves. If you're a strictly film-only Potter fan (grrr), he's the Poltergeist that haunts the castle and generally causes mayhem.
He helped take down horrid Umbridge, too.
WE ARE BAWLING AT THE MIRROR OF ERISED…
…AND LITTLE BABY HARRY <3
