JK Rowling responded to a fan who tweeted about Dumbledore in Harry Potter - and the internet has gone bananas over it.

It's not the first time JK has tweeted her followers back - she regularly responds to fans with messages of support - and fights back when someone (incorrectly) criticizes her.

But this fan got a pretty awesome response when she posted this (since deleted) tweet.

JK Rowling revealed that Dumbledore was gay back in 2007 - but one fan didn't get it, tweeting:

“Thank you so much for writing Harry Potter. I wonder why you said that Dumbledore is a gay because I can’t see him in that way.”

The author responded simply with: “Maybe because gay people just look like…people?”

Instead of being shocked by her response, the fan loved it, tweeting back: "amazing answer... Yes you are absolutely right. Such an inspiration!!!"

JK has spoken out about her character choice before, saying in an interview:

“It has certainly never been news to me that a brave and brilliant man could love other men.

“He is my character. He is what he is and I have the right to say what I say about him."

Yep, she TOTALLY rules. Keep tweeting JK, keep tweeting.
