When we heard S Club 7 were reuniting we were so excited we let out a scream so high pitched that only dogs could hear it.
What happened next is a complete blur but, although we don’t remember how we got home, we recall frantically searching for our old S Club albums and finding YouTube videos so we could learn the dance routines.
But while we were insanely excited about the group getting back together, some members were more than a little worried they wouldn’t be up to the standard of their heyday.
Band member Jo O’Meara got caught up in the Jade Goody/Shilpa Shetty race row, which exploded during Celebrity Big Brother in 2007 and was worried about how the public would receive her.
The group, who announced a 2015 UK tour on Monday, returned to our screens on Children In Need on Friday and some viewers criticised Jo for her sketchy live vocals during the TV charity event.
She told The Sun: “It was terrifying, I had never been so nervous in my whole life.”
“We used to all mime so to get up and do it completely stripped back, my voice was a little bit shaky. And then people were saying, ‘Oh, Jo’s lost it.’
“But it was just the pressure of it – my voice was shaking. It felt like someone had just got a load of sand and thrown it down my throat. But we’re back now and I’ll redeem it.”
