UPDATE:

Jodie Marsh's rep has given us this statement about her arrest and harassment charge:

"Jodie removed James Placido from her house back in April 2016. Since his removal Jodie has discovered a number of unsavoury things about him, including that he had taken thousands of pounds from her father.

"Jodie was arrested four months ago and charged last night with the offence of harassment for texts she sent to Mr Placido asking for her father's money back.

"Jodie completely denies the charges of harassment and looks forward to going to court, not only to prove her innocence but so that the full truth about Mr Placido can finally come out."

There is no suggestion that James has stolen money from Jodie's father at this stage.

We have not further comment at the moment, other than Jodie has some very exciting projects coming up and she is forever grateful to her loyal fans for all their support at this time.

Jodie Marsh has had a rough old year of it – after proclaiming husband James Placido was the love of her life when she married him in August 2015, she then split from him in April this year and hinted at a "massive" reason behind their break-up.

And now she's reportedly been arrested for bombarding her ex with text messages demanding he return the thousands of pounds he's said to have borrowed from her dad.

Taking to Twitter, Jodie claimed she'd been arrested and told her mate Nicola McLean that she wasn't allowed to talk about it.

Jodie went on to say she'd been charged with harassment and called herself "a very bad girl".

When one of her followers alleged that James had "stolen" money and said it was "unfair" for Jodie to have been arrested for "a few texts", Jodie replied saying "exactly right".

She's since tweeted about "karma":

Jodie's spokesperson also took to Twitter to deny the allegations, saying they were "utterly ridiculous".

We've contacted her rep for comment.

Just two months ago, Jodie told the Mirror that she was going to move countries if she couldn't get the situation with James sorted, and hinted that the police were involved at that point.

"Now it's either I move house or to another country. If he doesn't move countries, I will, put it that way. We're not dealing with a normal situation here, it's a massive massive worry," she explained.

"My fans know me. They know that I wouldn't have been madly head over heels in love with somebody, for it to end in an instant, without a very very, very big reason."

We'll have more on this when we hear it.
