Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell and Joe Sugg confirmed their relationship in December last year, but Joe was nowhere to be seen at last night's National Television Awards. However, Joe has now revealed the real reason that he didn't attend the awards with his award-winning girlfriend, taking to Instagram to explain to his fans.
In an Instagram Story shared overnight, Joe told his fans that last night was his 'One night off', and he had arranged to go out for a meal with his friends before he even knew what the NTAs were! Posting a short video from the restaurant, Joe captioned the video, 'I'm not at the NTAs I haven't seen these losers for months!!and I actually miss them. It's my one day off and we planned to have dinner together before I even know what the NTAs were'. [sic]

However, whilst he was enjoying his meal, his Strictly Come Dancing girlfriend Dianne Buswell was picking up an NTA, with Strictly Come Dancing winning Best Talent Show. Despite missing the big night, Joe did celebrate last night with Dianne, surprising her with an orange which had a giant sparkler in it. Again sharing the moment on his Instagram Stories, Joe told his girlfriend, "Congratulations! I didn't have a cake, I've got an orange!"
