We've consumed our own body weight in shoddy selection box chocolate, convinced ourselves leftover yule log's an acceptable breakfast and eaten enough cold turkey to last a lifetime; and while we don't regret one bit of it THANK GOD Joe Wicks is on hand to give us his workout tips in the latest issue of heat.

Yup - this month The Body Coach himself's our very own HIITman, telling us how on Earth we can save our bodies in this post-Christmas SLUMP. Basically he's gonna be focusing on a different body part in need of some care and attention each week; kicking things off with ARMS in the issue on shelves rn.

So you've already sorted your new gym kit, signed up to some-abs-blast-class-or-other in haste and taken your first of many 'progress pics.' WHAT NOW? Well Joe reckons arms are a good starting point.

He explains: "To really tone your arms, you need to use weights. You can start off with full water bottles if you don't have any. People are so frightened of weights, as they worry about getting too bulky.

"Women think that if they go and lift a 5kg weight they'll suddenly get bulging arms - it just doesn't happen."

In fact, part 1 of Joe's HIIT workout will take you through everything from press-ups to tricep dips. SORTED.

Check out The Body Coach's full arms workout in the latest issue of heat out now, and be sure to collect the whole bloody thing - from abs to an all-over BLAST - throughout January.
