Joey Essex wants to move to America :O

Is it the being treated like royalty, or the legions of fans singing your praises that's so tiresome?

We can't tell, but one thing we're sure of is that fame and fortune isn't quite enough for Joey Essex, as the star has admitted he wants to escape the attention and relocate across the pond.

Speaking to The Sun, he discussed what's next for him and his career and dropped the bombshell that he might be joining his former co-star Mark Wright in America.

The Essex lad divulged, “I’m going to America soon to meet agents. I’ve been offered presenting but I don’t feel like me when I do it – all I want to do is be Joey Essex.

"I want a fresh start in America. In England I can’t walk down the street without a hat on."

The discussion came as he was promoting new TV show Five Star Hotel Weekdays, which sees him and his reality TV star pals running a hotel in Greece.

But considering it's usually Joey enjoying the five-star treatment, he wasn't best pleased.

He told the paper, “We’re celebs and we have these guests telling us what to do. I was like: ‘Hold on a minute!’

"But I always offer five-star service. To be honest, I could probably run a hotel by myself.”

Joey was joined by Made in Chelsea's Spencer Matthews, former co-star Lydia Bright, Geordie Shore's Holly Hagan and Ex On The Beach's Ashley Cain.
